Westport, WA

Westport is a delightful seaside town and we were treated to summer time temperatures whilst we were there.  The shops are mostly limited to tourist type seafood restaurants and souvenirs, although the general store will  special order anything for you. This shot is taken from the lookout tower which gives a lovely view of the ocean and the town.
The beaches are fantastic.  Wide white sand stretches as far as the eye can see and the sea shimmers with the sunlight.  Fog banks roll in shrouding the beach in a fine haze and the surfers provide plenty of entertainment.
This 360ft paddle-boat was rumored to be enroute to San Francisco to become a museum.  It was chartering a group of people from Canada as far as the Colombia River, and did provide some interesting entertainment when the passengers where unable to re-join the boat when it failed to enter port.  We watched for several hours as passengers were ferried on fishing boats out to the anchorage.
We saw many incredible sunsets, lots of fog and plenty of sunshine whilst we were at Westport.
