Guaymas

Guaymas, a traditional working harbour. We did not see any pleasure craft here at all for this is primarily a fish boat haven. The town does have quite a foreign flavour though and worth a visit.
The municipal hall and it's beautiful architecture.
The historical church had just been renovated and looked beautiful. This building was design by Mr. Eiffel of the famous Eiffel Towel in Paris.
The architecture inside was really interesting with the many arches in the ceiling and the beautiful stained glass windows.
A very peaceful, cool, place of beauty.
The historical Hotel Playa De Cortez had very interesting architecture.
The clay tiled roof had many different levels and chimneys, with interesting shaped windows and doorways decorated with stone artwork.
The corridors were cool with their red tiled floors and simple lines.  All the light fixtures has a 'medieval' appearance and all the doors were solid hardwood.  Apparently the hotel has only recently installed air-conditioning since it was not really necessary with the metre thick walls.
The courtyard fountain was filled with fresh petals and the gardens were very well kept, featuring many giant cactus.
