This is the first time in the Sea of
Cortez that we saw sea-weed, and this was a very pretty but prolific
hardy type which had the strength and appearance of plastic. You
can just see it under the water off this beach (if was fun to row
through watching the little fish that live amongst it). |
| We were in search of the hot water
spring, but just found a shady cave instead where fisherman probably
stopped for a rest. |

The houses nestled in the hills had
really interesting architecture and almost blended into the mountain
side with the natural stone clad walls. We knew we were back in
civilization as soon as we saw these and the highway that runs
alongside. |
| Each house had a slightly different
design, we loved the arches of this one. |

This village was very pretty and the
'American' homes were nestled together with open fronts facing out to
the beach. There were more houses behind the beach, where there
was also a natural hot spring bath set in the village square. |

| At night time the bay
was alive with cat fish and this heron decided to use our dinghy as a
diving platform to catch them....we watched from the cockpit as he
carefully waited for the right moment and then snagged a big fish for
his dinner! |
